I am planning my first trip to Cuba. Alot of people think we can no longer travel there from the US.
There are just some minor details you have to cater to and I can't wait to update you.
So how much is it? How do you travel? When do you have time? How can you afford it?
RT Flight from Charlotte : $66 (I had an American Airline voucher code to use, $200 off)
Travel days : Friday- Monday (Thur-Sunday gives the BEST DEALS), book with Google Flights , works if you are flexible and helps deciding best dates to go based on the prices.
Airbnb split 3 ways for 3 nights: $160 (Airbnb is always the way to go!), includes breakfast
Paid legal itinerary split 3 ways: $30
Isabelle - Itinerary Planner
3 Airbnb experiences (because we're extra) : $104
Spending cash -- TBD (based on my budget because I'm broke)
Our planner suggested $100/day - will update after returning.
I spent $300 USD for 3 days on cab, souvenirs, food, alcohol, water and tipping. I couldve totally spent less. You can totally survive with less than $100 per day if you dont buy gifts and eat on a budget and not buy alcohol lol.
Well for those that know me know I work HARD. I hustle up extra spending money when needed to support any habits to break my budget. I have an amazing support system that helps with Kayden when I make plans. I make my plans FAR in advance to make any necessary arrangements and utilize all resources. I take off work unpaid , and as a result put in extra hours doing a side job or two to make up for it. If I can, you can do it too!
FYI, I've never paid over $380 for a flight anywhere! (Mexico, Costa Rica, Grand Cayman, Puerto Rico) , I'm cheap, I travel cheap and typically always complain about something to keep the hotel and Airbnb discount codes coming :)
